How to use it
- Find the manufacture year and month on your vehicle registration certificate (行照) and select them.
- Find the original registration month, the month the scooter was first registered, and select it.
- The result shows the month the scooter turns five, the next inspection window (or the one you are in now) and the one after that.
The calculator uses today’s date from your browser, and says so if you are inside a window right now.
The rule behind it
The Ministry of Environment’s owner page says a scooter must have an emission check once a year from five years after manufacture, within one month before and after the month of its original registration. The calculator turns that into dates: from the 1st of the month before to the last day of the month after, with 28 or 29 days for February depending on the year.
Five years is counted as the manufacture month plus 60 months. The calculator picks the first window that ends no earlier than today and no earlier than that five-year month. One case needs care: if the five-year month falls in the middle of a window, the official page does not say whether the first check is due in that window or the following year’s. The calculator flags this, and the ministry’s notice or record lookup is the answer.
After you have your dates
- Book a check at any station approved by the local environmental protection bureau before the window closes. The test is free.
- If the scooter fails, it has to be repaired and pass a retest within a month.

The calculator only works with dates. It does not look up your vehicle records and does not store anything you enter.
